    CDX-M91 With Aftermarket Headunit

    So, I got the OEM 6 disc changer at a PnP yard. I honestly have no idea if it even works. However, I am wondering if anyone has ever used one of these with an aftermarket headunit. I have a Sony MEX-BT2800, which does have the ability to control a changer. Has anyone done a conversion like this before? Is it hopeless? I do know that my headunit requires the Sony XA-C40 to control a changer.

    "M Buss" Pioneer only, "CDX-M88" for example, your Sony speaks a completely different language: changers aren't interchangeable.
