RR Window won't move, Door switch won't light up

    89 325i Sedan.

RR door window does not move at all. The switch in the console lights up, but when I press it, I don't hear any changes.

The switch in the door does not light up, nor does anything happen when I press the switch.

How would ya'll go about troubleshooting it?

Try swapping switches with one you know works to see if the switch is the problem

okay, so I pulled back the accordion on the door that the wires feed through. Two of the wires were broken clean through! How do I go about repairing this? Solder might break, and butt connectors might not fit. Any recs?

Solder is the usual way, there should be butt connectors big enough. If not there is also bullet connectors?

Alright, I still have a problem similar to this.

1987 BMW 325e Sedan. All of the windows worked when I bought the car (two months ago), mind you the limiter on the front driver's window was bad so it would click when fully closed until you remove your finger from the switch.

The problem I am having is with my rear driver-side window. It won't go up or down using either the switch on the console or the switch on the door. Both switches light up. The window lock button does disable the door switch. When I push the console switch up or down the door switch is also disabled, just like the passenger side. I don't even heat the motor start to move or anything.

I checked the rubber accordion between the door and body and all of the wires are good. What is my next step?
