Trunk lock question

So I'm trying to install my Omega Rec34 or whatever alarm and everything works except unlock! I think it might have to do with my trunk lock. So I'm troubleshoot and here is my question: when you unlock the trunk with your key, do all your doors unlock as well?

Mine doesnt, but it does lock all the doors. Thanks to anyone that can help.

When you turn your key in the trunk lock does the key slot rotate 90 degrees and stay there or does the key slot return to horizontal position after locking/unlocking. The reason I ask is because I installed my omega 2 days ago (it did not unlock as well) and I had the trunk lock where you turn 90 degrees and the key slot stays vertical so when you go to unlock the key has to be in the lock to be able to turn the whole assembly, I call these locks the two position locks. What I did is I had a different lock laying around that I think is from an earlier E30 in which the key slot goes back to the horizontal position after twisting 90 degrees therefore it didn't need a key to move the assembly between unlock and lock.
