Orbital makes sealed batteries. Actually, I've heard from a few retail dealers that they are better then Optima’s. Supposedly they handle charging better and are a little better vented internally to prevent overheating when used in extreme situations.
I'm putting an Odyssey in my car. Everyone I know that's had one has loved it.
"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Yep, I have an Excide Orbital battery in mine, works awesome, and I don't need to ever add water to it, Gel Cell is the way to go imho.
I have two oddesy clones for sale... same battery just a different sticker. They are brand new, but dont come with terminals so you would have to get your own.
Heres a picture, they come with a metal battery holder as well.
Could you guys explain or take pics of what kind of mounting you guys have done to keep the battery in place? Thanks all for the info. I'm going with gel cell (optima or orbital) I just need to figure out how to mount it since the stock mount doesn't work.
Thanks all
Brian

aaron, can u describe a bit what's happening in that picture. The plastic battery tray in my car has cracked and rotted out, so I'm looking for a better way to mount my optima red top
thanks in advance

if you don't have a big sound system (or some other huge drain on your power supply) I recommend a braille battery. They are only about 11 lbs. and work fine for a daily driver. Two caveats though- I live in Arizona so I can't defend how well this battery works in really cold climates. Also, I don't recommend sitting in the car and listening to music for long periods of time, because this battery has a small reserve capacity. On the upside it is a deep cell, so if you do happen to drain it it doesn't hurt the battery.
