OK, i have an idea of the set up i want

well i have a friend that will give me an 250w MTX (i think) for $30. I want to find a 10" woofer that will be a good match and i was thinking of this one http://www.crutchfield.com/S-PYqrH9u...08PER101&wm=su

its rated at a 350w rms max but will the 250w amp still be enough? are there any other subs i should look at?

I think i will make a box and have it in the front pasenger corner of the trunk. I might try to even see if i can do some sort of easy in and out setup.

and i think i will get a volume control simialar to this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

    hows that sound?

Increase the size of your enclosure to make your woofer more efficient. That should be fine.

If you don't have the power to push it why not just go with a Reference and save a few bucks? http://www.crutchfield.com/S-XbX4BVh...1081040W&g=520

Get the Perfect and just make the box bigger. It will be loads better than the Reference.

yeah i live on the other side of the country

I have ran a set of rca's from the stereo to the trunk today, but where should i run the line for the amp switch? can I just run it from the antenna or something? And when i get around to making the box and stuff. is there anything i should watch out for when drilling in the front passenger side of the trunk?

I had problems running my amp turn-on off my antenna, i ran a new one from the deck.

Theres a gas tank around there somewhere :P

I used the antenna turn on to power a relay, which then turns on my amps. Works well so far.
