Power source for 2nd fuel pump

Long story short, my car, which is mostly for track/autox at this point, has had fueling issues pretty much the entire time it's been swapped. I have given up on the stock system to get around my cavitation issues and have installed a remote surge tank in the trunk (SCCA rules prohibit a pump in the cabin). I have almost everything done, but where should I hook up the +12v for the surge tank pump? Can I just tap into the positive wire for the in tank pump, or do I need to get power elsewhere? Thanks.

Decided to add in a relay, tapping the in tank's power to activate it. Will report back on how well it works.
