    No Front Right Speaker

I've been reading a few forums here and elsewhere. Basically I have the stock BLAUPUNKT BREMEN SQR 49. I put in some modern replacement 13cm Pioneers all round, however, the right speaker isn't outputting any sound.

There are a few quirks, the LCD wasn't showing right the other day, this morning it worked fine. The antenna doesn't go down either.

I'm nervous about messing with this stuff as I know that ever model and year is different. All the wiring is stock (as far as I know). I can take pictures of the wiring.

I've attached the back of the stereo just incase it helps.

    Many Thanks!

Bump - anyone know about the Lux electrics, I can't seem to find a manual anywhere...

The LCD on the stereo has changed from Orange to Green and also, when the lights are on highbeam the LCD displays garbage.
Also the indicators seem to have stopped working, should I just take the thing to an auto - electrician who knows BMW?

Sounds to me like the deck has died. Do you have another deck available with that same plug-in to swap with?

No I don't. Unfortunately I don't, I was thinking the same thing as I've had regular amps blow channels like that.

I want to leave the car as it is as I want to sell it after it's been used in a music video. I'm sure I can get a cheap amp - is there a way I could run from the line outs to an amp? I really don't want to change anything as I want to sell it to someone with the time and patience to fix the original stereo.

My car is a 1990 Lux Model btw. I'd really like to just put an amp in the glove box.

        These look like my connectors.

The guide says it's proprietary Audi, if it is the same then the four pins at the end on the 10 pin are line out, is there anywhere it would come out in the car so I can just connect an amp?

It's not proprietary Audi; it's standard ISO 10487. Any Blaupunkt will plug right in, and so will many OEM radios from Mercedes-Benzes, Porsches, Audis, and Volkswagens.

Harnesses to adapt from ISO 10487 to a variety of aftermarket head units (Alpine, etc.) are also readily available and inexpensive.

ISO 10487 seems to be only the bottom two eight pins. The ten pin on top is the one that carries the line outs to go to the amp. Most connectors seem to have 20 smaller pins on top. BTW my photo is upside down. I want to leave the HU vanilla for the next owner to restore and love.

For my (temporary) purposes I'm looking at a way to power an amp in the glove box and plug the existing speaker cables into. I'll be feeding the amp from a source outside the car.

Is the little brown box a small amp or a junction box? Do I just conect HX and Y to the new amp? I don't need a head unit
