Thank you for the time on the phone yesterday. I did pull the trigger on the Quart amp that we discussed. The dimensions of the amp are 9-7/16"W x 16"D x 2-1/4"H. How/where do you see mounting the amp working the best?

First: it did not take "40 days to get a refund". You started a dispute after only 40 days of development on an entirely new product. I am happy you got all of your money back, but it is a shame you feel the need to exaggerate the facts. The fact is that you got your money back 100% in less than 2 months from date of initial payment.
You remember that discussion, right? The one where I told you we were still in development, but I will give you a huge discount if you help fund the development costs?
When you are a development customer, you get a special place in our hearts. The last big development deal is in this months European Car (Kentons red 1000HP E46). We always put out really cool stuff and do our absolute best. Sometimes it take a LONG time...after all, it took 25 years for me to perfect our basic principles, why would anyone think 40 days is enough to come up with another new and revolutionary product, designed specifically for their car? The time frame we agreed upon was not specific, I don't do specific time frames for development deals because I know better. I know how many unknowns there are in these cars and I won't ship something unless I know it is 100%.
That is also why you got a THREE HUNDRED DOLLAR discount. You knew you were in a development deal, you also knew it was almost finished. I sent pictures and kept you 100% informed...even after your stupid drunk texts at 3AM, I still kept you informed.
You got your money back 100%, but only because I let you. As we were only a few days from the completion of our testing (good thing, the box wouldn't fit, you would have had even more of a temper tantrum) we could have shipped our product, as the test install went perfectly after we re-fit the box.
We could have kept your money and shipped the product, but obviously, you aren't trustworthy as a development client. We clearly don't want you representing our product. It has already been sold to someone deserving, and is installed already. We wish you the best of luck with your install.
Let me make something clear: development deals do not get a specific shipping date...period. If we gave you a HUGE discount to develop a product, you don't get to whine about how long it takes. $300 is a HUGE discount.
We never agreed to any specific time frame, aside from a general "expect roughly this date".
So, your assertions that it took 40 days to get your refund is incorrect, if not an outright lie. It took a week for you to get a full refund and you got 100% of your funds back.
In the meantime, I spoke with you not less than twice a week for each of those weeks. You knew Justin got hurt. You knew I got hurt. You also knew that both of us got the flu and were sick in bed AFTER getting hurt for not less than 5 days. You apparently did not care, but we do, and we will not ship anything we aren't 100% confidant of. Yes, we make mistakes, but we do our best not to.
So, you screwed us by starting a dispute, even after the hundreds of texts.
Oh, I really like the one about how "we here rolling on 5" BBS lips and eating Lobster"...whatever the hell that is supposed to mean. And, just for future reference, I really don't care if you are fucking your girlfriends daughter or not. You really do seem to be a classy guy, I am sure they both appreciate your 3AM texts, I know my girlfriend didn't, especially since she gets up at 4:00AM. Appreciate the professionalism, nice job.
Kind of like a PayPal employee telling you that I somehow got someone fired...first, there is no way in hell they are allowed to tell anyone such a thing and second, just exactly how did I get someone fired? I have nothing to say about PayPal except they are the best financial institution I have ever used. Just exactly how any such thing would happen is beyond me.
So, back to the parts you paid to be developed...
You should know that the E24 kit is very pretty. We now have 8" and 10" options. The speaker system sounds fantastic and is very sexy. We are about to release the E30 crossover too, the development on the E24 and E28 were the final steps
Oh, and for those who see all this, lets lay out some facts: virtually all orders for normal production product are shipped within 72 hours of payment.
We offer our boxes in 2 different colors, so we only upholster them after an order is placed. We have such a small space that we cannot upholster and package for shipping at the same time, and each step takes a day or two to get all of the products done...after all, we now offer almost 40 different products.
Knowing this, we have our materials ready to wrap boxes, we have packaging materials on hand and we have shipped well over 750 boxes without any unreasonable delay. Yes we have had issues and some damn big issues that would have crushed any other company...but this is R3V, this is where we were born, this is the site that created the demand for top-quality subwoofers, created our name, our logo and our reason for being in business.
Sorry you had a rough go of doing business with us. The vast majority have had an incredibly positive experience and are incredibly satisfied, that is why we have the reputation that we do.

For the record, communication about my specific enclosure has been excellent. It shipped ahead of the promised date and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. Tracking info was provided on the date of shipment.

Calm down Luke. No reason to throw up my dirty laundry for the public. I never sent you a text at 3am. I pass out by 11 every night. I wake up at 4 to go to work. You are 3 hours behind my time.
The reason I'm upset that I didn't get my box is because you told me you had templates for the enclosure. You already installed a system in a e24 several months ago. Where I had inquired on a group buy. We later struck a deal for $600, for the box/x-over/ amp rack. Your adjusted price on my paypal invoice states a $225 discount. We spoke through text for about a week going over the hardware I would be using and what changes needed to be made. That was truly a pleasure. I enjoyed our communication.
I didn't text you for 3 weeks after that, and asked if you had made any advancements. You did have some excuses. I was okay with that, and you told me the stuff would be built and shipped very soon. Okay, now 2 more weeks go by and I still haven't heard anything. Over 40 days have passed since I paid you and nothing has been built. I was under the assumption there are 45 days allowed to file a dispute on paypal which I did. The very same day I was contacted by email that showed my claim had been dismissed. I never started a claim, so I contacted paypal. I was explicitly told that what had been done by their agent is no way company protocol and that they would no longer be handling customer relations. The dispute was reopened and ultimately resolved in my favor. I waited until 45 days and opened the claim over the telephone and had funds in my paypal account within minutes. I agree, was a great move on paypals behalf.
Luke, you never told me the box was in development. Why would I even think something like that when you personally installed a box in a e24 months ago? You told me you had templates. I trusted you. I never pushed you to complete the stuff, only inquired after a month of waiting.
You are being very malicious and extremely misleading with your personal attack. I have stayed calm and collected throughout this entire ordeal. Yes, I am disappointed in being led along for a month and a half with nothing to show for it. But even more upset with the fact you dropped yourself to the level you achieved with writing the hateful words I just read. Maybe you should think about it from my point of view, instead of just losing your short temper. I don't like being lied to, or about. Good luck.

The box design was and is finished, but built to order, not a stocked item; the speaker system was under development.
EDIT: this fact was made clear from our initial discussions. You said you were clear about this, that yours would be the first production model to be shipped. Again, it was made entirely clear from the start, because we gave you an enormous discount for just that reason.
We can have an E24 box shipped within a week, the crossover and speaker system has taken 25 years. This is entirely new ground, no other company has ever offered anything like what we build, much less specifically tailored for a specific vehicle. I told you repeatedly we had major progress, I have no clue what else you would have liked me to do. I told you the day before you filed your initial claim that the crossover was ready to ship and we were waiting on specific wire length measurements, it was otherwise ready to ship. Your impatience isn't my problem, but your attempt to sabotage our sales is.
You are welcome to take your business elsewhere.

I'll vouch for Luke on this one. He is 3/4 of the way through a complete install on my e28 and has been a standup guy and communicated well on all fronts. The system is all intact from the sound standpoint, he just has some finishing cosmetic touches to complete in the future once we can set a date. The sound is amazing and his work is top notch. I'll post pics here when it's all done and would be happy to have anyone sit in my car to enjoy. I've got big plans for this e28 and Luke's work has been another major step in the right direction.

Luke it really does read like you have a vendetta against me. Luckily you did not gain anything from this. Now it reads like you are a psychopathic liar with a very intimate hatred against me. I wish you had never contacted me. This has absolutely been a complete waste of time, money, and let's not forget emotions.
While you may be great at influencing and fulfilling local buyers, you absolutely failed to deliver here. I wouldn't give thought to using your horrible service ever again. The way you treat people is not good. After reading what you wrote, I am going to forward this onto the e24 section. Hopefully they can appreciate your fine attitude. You truly deserve to have your hostility checked at the door.

I think you may be a little confused is all.
I don't even think you are a bad guy, I just think you had a misunderstanding of the process and the level of detail required to build this system. We had some time issues, we both got injured and we both got sick...but you still pulled your funding of our project just as it was almost finished.
You screwed us hard and caused us to be unable to ship other products for a short period, but we have shipped over 20 boxes and 8 crossovers since you shafted us...and I sold the system you paid to develop in less than 24 hours.
Developers deals are pretty sweet, we have locals lined up for them. You had your shot and you screwed us. Boo-hoo!
Either way I don't want you or anyone who agrees with you as a customer, so yes, feel free to post your criticisms anywhere you please, it will only help.
If you are polite and kind, I am the most helpful person you will ever meet.
