    UNGO Equipment Removal.

    I've removed my seat in order to give the carpeting a proper cleaning and under the drivers seat are three Ungo boxes that are wired to the car. I'd like to remove this system from my car. Before I started to go to town with the wire clippers I was wondering if there is any specific process for this, seeing as this is an security device I don't want it to leave my car immobilized if I remove it improperly.

    It is installed in a 1987 325is.

    The mess looks like this;

      My car had one of those.... I removed it. It took me about an hour or two, as I wasn't in any rush. Just be careful to trace all of the wires, it should be fairly simple. Ground, power, ignition, trunk, siren...

      As long as you don't screw with the car's harness at all, you shouldn't have issues with immobilization.

        Remove the power and ground first. Do one wire at a time. Never cut more than 1 wire at a time. It is usually not that bad.

          Good advice, fellas.

          Unplug that turd, see if the car still starts.

          If it runs, do as suggested above.

          if it doesn't, R3V will help you get it out.
