Sedan Driver side rear door window rolls up but not down

So my driver rear door window doesn't roll down, but will roll up? but my passenger side rear window works perfectly. I'm completely stumped, I found this thread

but still left with a nonworking window. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Just tested safety switches, still good, and its the front switch that controls the rear window wiring that is bad, all the switches I have are good, but the wiring seems to be bad, it lights up but doesn't make the window move in any direction, all my fuses are still good and I just don't know

So it seems like you've figured out it must be the wiring. Have you checked continuity between the down-switch and the motor?

This is a pretty great write up on understanding the ETM wiring diagrams, and also happens to discuss window switches:

But it's for a two door, so you should check to make sure the 4 door wiring color is the same. Then check continuity.

got it figured out, there was continuity between the console switch to the harness in the B pillar, the wires got cut after 24 years of the door being opened and closed, should've been the first thing I checked but I don't have a multimeter. Just glad that the motor in the door was still good. Thanks!
