    My new sub setup.

Took out my 12 and put this in. The reason being -- it's an isotropic push-pull style setup (there is the same 10" inside of the box -- very good for low distortion). I made the speakers, box, etc. while I was at work with parts from work. Used 8 ohm voice coils and wired them in parallel. Yada yada. The cone, frame, A/B plates, and damper is the same as an aftermarket speaker we make, while the voice-coil, dustcap, and terminals are all different.

Cost me a total of $40 for the MDF and carpet. Minus the money I got paid for working on it haha.

yep yep. Speakers are extremely simple, and when you drop $200 more for a "good" speaker you're paying for $5 worth of parts.
