    Cluster saftey question

So the right half of my cluster's backlight illumination wasn't working, bulbs good, but upon testing with a meter, right side positive contact isn't getting juice. My idea for a solution was to run a jumper from the left side positive to the right side positive. dry testing it in the car, it worked! So before I do my final soldering, is there anything else I need to do? I mean like lets say in the unlikely event that this 'dead' bulb contact starts getting electricity again while I have my jumper between the sides, will it fry anything? To my perspective, 12v is 12v and it won't matter that they're connected. but I may be wrong. Sorry for the paranoid thread, just asking.

    That should be okay
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

soldered in my wire, put everything back together... and now I don't have to worry about not noticing if I'm overheating at night!! Thanks brother!

And BTW, the buttons on my OBC light up now too... they're connected to the cluster somehow i guess. I get to take that off my to-do list as well woohooo!!!!
