    Help ID this 'connector'

I pulled my knee bolster on the 87 325is yesterday as part of my effort to remove my instrument cluster. when the bolster came out, this lil guy fell onto the floor mat below. I looked for a place where it might plug in, because the connector looks like some of the ones on the steering column, and the wire is oh-so-e30 looking as far as thickness and color. It has no numbers or any markings on it. the wire is lime green/red, and appears to be some sort of jumper I'd say...maybe not OE, but I'm consulting you first.

Automatic transmission cars used this jumper to bypass the switch mounted on the clutch pedal that would disable the cruise control when the clutch pedal is depressed.
