trying to replace my antenna mast. I bought a OEM hirschmann mast along with a new gear kit. I have issue with the nylon mast coiling outside of the designed area causing the antenna to not retract all the way. So far I tried heating the nylon to curl it more but has not solved the issue. Havent been able to find a solution online. I cant believe noone else has come across this problem? Seems like it would be a issue everytime a antenna mast has to be replaced since the nylon has a "memory" and tends to want to stay straight.

Issue solved! cutout a plastic bottle about the same circumference. dropped it in and tested it a few times. mast coiled without issues!Renting my rear wheel bearing tool kit. SIR
