Charging light, abs light, brake warning light

    Hey guys,

So my car has been standing still for a while, so i charged the battery over the night, with the cables on.
After i did so suddenly my charging light, brake warning light, and handbrake light is on (some times the abs light)
So i replaced the alternator, and now only the abs light is on, but i can't drive the car for much longer than 2 minutes. The battery is not fully charged, might be very low, but i mean the charging light isn't on anymore, so it should work?

The car won't rev higher than 3500rpm, and after a minute or so the car starts to run very uneven, and it suddenly dies with all of the electronics.

Anyone who has experienced this before? might give me some hints?? :)

Have you measured the battery voltage? The charge indicator doesn't have anything to do with battery voltage, only whether the alternator is charging or not.

The battery could be toast, after a really low discharge they have a hard time returning to normal.
