Well i just got a profile amp, and should have a box and infinity perfect getting here real soon.

I will post current and future questions in this thread.

I could have sworn the amp was 310 watts, but I noticed in the manual it says bridged RMS @ 4ohms is 480w. I take it i should not ever move the gain more then 3/4 of the way, since the rating of the sub is 350?

The sub is comming with a sealed box thats around 1 cu ft, but the recomended volume is .6 cu ft. Will this make that much of a difference? Should I stick something in the box to take up a bit of space?

Im also thinking of getting one of these to mount in the dash

Yeah in any sealed box you want to fill it up with material. Usually pliiow "polyfil" you can get it at fabric stores and the like. Some info tells you there is a set amount to put in per the box size, meh I say. Put in as much as you like and give/take some until you get your desired sound. This gives that sealed box a bigger box sound. Sealed boxes also requires more power to drive the sub since the air has nowhere to go.

I just got the box, at the angle of it is PERFECT for the back of the trunk.

Is it ok if i mount the amp on the top of the box, with about 2 or 3 inches between it and the top of the trunk? i dont want it to over heat

And the little connector on the box seems shitty, should i get another?

Looks like the set up is going to be nice. It should be fine if you put the amp above the box. It may heat up, but never enough to do any damage and heat anything else up in the car. So you shouldn't have anything to worry about. And I think the connectors to the box are not that expensive, like 5-10 bucks. So if the ones you have are really bad, then maybe some new ones would be worth it. Nice set up I like it.
