Are E34 speakers a bolt-in upgrade? Answer: Yes!

    Hey all,

I read recently that one could use speakers from an E34 as an E30 upgrade, even better than E30 premiums. I'm looking to upgrade my sister's iX which has crappy aftermarket speakers but a newer head unit (presumably with a built in crossover). Should I buy a pair of new E34 speakers for the front instead of looking for used E30 premiums? Any particular type of E34 speaker to look for?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Oh, dunno how I missed that thread!

For reference if anyone searches this thread, the right front E34 speaker is the one you want!

PN 65138350608 for the 91-93 speaker, 65138370935 for the replacement. From the sound of it (haha...), they're functionally the same.
