Radio from Europe in the US

    Hi,

inspired by this thread I was thinking, if a stock radio from Europe would work "normally" for you guys in the US.

Is there any experience as to this? Is it possible as to FM-standards and CD-Changer connectivity?

Is anyone of you successfully using this type of radio?

    Thanks for your help!

The tuner should switch to US spec, the CD changer should work fine.

    best of luck

It will only pick up metric stations, so you might need to hire an interpreter to drive around with you and translate.

Thanks for your (more and less) helpful answers.

I think I will try to sale one of these on ebay.com and see if there is anybody in the US interested in stock radios with mp3/aux connectivity :)

          Kein Problem mit Deutsche funk!

A euro spec radio will work fine here. The only difference is the European tuner moves in .1 increments [88.0 -88.1 -88.2 -88.3 ... ]. US (FCC) radio stations only broadcast on odd numbered decimals.
