    Chassis harness differences

    Hey guys,

My car has some pretty hacked up wiring both under the dash (rats nest!) and in the engine bay (engine is fully functional without issues, mainly just accessory electrical stuff like the horns which don't work), so I was thinking of possibly swapping the entire chassis harness with an unmolested one from a parts car. A PO wired in an alarm system that doesn't function anymore and managed to take out my horn in the process.

My buddy offered me a FREE chassis harness from his parts car sitting out in front of his shop, but it's from a convertible airbag car, while my car is an 88 coupe without airbags.

Does anyone know if there would be any problems swapping the chassis harness of an airbag car into a non-airbag car?

    Thanks

I know very little about the differences between harnesses, but, unless a PO had swapped out the harness on my airbag-less car (12/86 build 325i), my harness had an unused SRS connector on it.

Either way, it would suggest there shouldn't be much of a difference or problem in using an airbag harness in a non-airbag car.

I'm sure more knowledgable people can help you out more, but there's some tiny feedback.
