    anyone had luck getting an OEM radio professionally refurbished?

      It's not to bad to do yourself. Do a little research and you may be able to tackle it on your own. I walked a friend through his on the phone while I am in GA and he was in NJ and he never did one before. It's more about having all you need when you start.
