    Gas gauge needle fell off

After constant dash smacking due to bad grounds in my cluster the gas gauge needle decided it had enough of the abuse and fell off...no more excuses time to pull/fix the cluster and do my dash swap...

Will the gas gauge needle just pop back on? Is there only one position for it to go back on?

    Thanks in advance

If the little black circle on the bottom of the needle didn't fall off it should pop right back on. To get it working once you take the cluster out and remove the back you just have to add some solder to the joint and I would sand down the bolt and nut just in case. While it's out pick up some gauge rings and red spray paint to give it a little overhaul :D. Here's a like that shows the process for fixing the gas gauge

If you haven't fixed it yet and need to know how much gas you have go over to your obc, hit the time then press 1000 & 1 at the same time and it will tell you in Liters, Cool little trick that i think not many people know about. Good luck
