    Basic Primer on Electrics

    Hi all,

Sorry if this is one of those annoying posts that recur freaking constantly. But I'm having a bit of trouble effectively parsing through the wealth of knowledge on the r3v forums, and just wanted to know:
What are the essentials of electrical work?
    What tools are required?
What tips/tricks do you wish someone told you when you began to work with a car's electronic system?

Again, sorry if this is in an inappropriate forum, or I'm missing something obvious. Otherwise, if you could post useful resources or tips, or even point me to the right place to ask these questions, that would be great.

    Thank you!

Read the first pages of an ETM for basic testing procedures(test some good circuits to get a baseline). A test light will work for a lot of things but a DVOM is much better/useful in the long term
