I got my 89 325is a few weeks ago, and have just gotten around to taking care of the stereo. The PO took the headunit that he installed with him.
I dove into the dash this afternoon to get a look at what I was dealing with and found that the PO connected directly to the original wiring without the use of a harness connector (he used poor connections and bad crimping to boot), and left me with bare wires. These wires don't follow the industry standard for coloring. Anyone have a diagram of what wires in the dash go to each speaker, power antenna, ground, power etc etc..... Strangely, the Bentley doesn't have a wiring table for the stereo.
Pelican parts had a Headunit install DIY, but it gave instructions using the OEM connector, and an adapter harness.
