    Dead Stock Radio?

    Hey R3vLimited!
I picked up my first e30 a couple months ago. '92 Convertible.
It was a family member's which had sat since the last time I drove it in 2013.

The stock radio it had in it worked when I drove it in 2013. But when I picked it up from the warehouse in 2015, nada!

No lights, no noise, no nothing.

    Some Clues
The only lights that illuminate when I turn on the headlights is the one around the knob, and the anti theft.
I put in a tape deck adapter to see if it would react, it swallowed it but it won't eject it out.

    The radio in question

The wires that I found dangling.

And I was wondering, worst comes to worst, if I could swap it out with this bad boy

    Thank you so much guys!

Did you enter the code? Reason I say this is that some people are not aware that if your battery goes dead then you have to re-enter the anti-theft code.

I mean that would make sense, cause the battery went dead while it sat. But the display has never showed CODE. It's just been blank. Maybe I'm locked out?

If the battery went dead, you have to re-enter the code. It's been awhile since I messed with mine and I usually just look it up in the owners manual when the need arises. If you enter the code incorrectly enough times you get locked out of the radio. There is a way to reset being locked out...it should be on the internet somewhere...also, if you have a different radio than what came with the car, you have a different code. Here's a link that may help....http://blog.bavauto.com/3137/bmw-radio-security-code/

The screen doesn't even light up for me to enter a code. Usually doesn't it say CODE on the radio.
Regardless I entered it and nothing happened.
