My stock head passes sound at a level that is usable but sounds far from great.
While reversing a POs alarm and stereo hack job, I discovered that my car is missing the factory amp in the trunk. The harness is there but the connector is cut off and the wires taped together where it was probably once attached to an aftermarket amp.
I'm fairly sure that the amp wasn't reinstalled in the dash but I'm not certain. So...can a stock head push enough power that it wouldn't have been totally obvious?
I'm also chasing some other probably related issues- stereo doesn't turn off when key is removed, no interior lights when opening door, and on from there.
