I am a noob in need of assistance with hooking up the carputer to my wiring harness and other associated plugs in the glove box. I'm at a loss for what some of these connectors actually go to. (pics below)

I swapped a 1990 m20b25 into an 86 325e and bought the corresponding harness and ECU. I was wondering if I need to get the ECU reset or reflashed before hooking it up.
And these are some plugs that I found on the glove box that might be important
