Batt. Location?

I was under the impression that e30's had their batteries up front. My friend was going to get a relocation kit to put his in the trunk back when he had his e30. Well my sedan has it in the trunk already. Is this a sedan thing or is it aftermarket?

E30's have their batteries in the passenger side of the trunk. I'm 99.9% sure that it applies to all of them.

Wrong-ola. Most 6 cylinder E30's have it in the trunk.

I think the only E30 to have a 4 banger and a trunk mount is the M3, but not too sure on that.

I guess I was mistaken then and it was a differnt car he wanted to do the relocation in.
