Cruise and auto sunroof conversion compatibility?

I'm looking to retrofit cruise into my 91 318i, and convert my crank sunroof to auto. I can't seem to find definitive answers about the compatibility between cars. It seems to me that the sunroof should work in any e30, but do I need the cruise from another m42 engine, or will any late e30 do?

Any info is appreciated.

I'd say the sunroof should work, but yes, you'll need the cruise (or at least the actuator) from another m42.
