His setup was 2 JL Audio "slash" series amps flush mounted in a 1/4 masonite (AKA Tempered hardboard), covered in Foss trunkliner. Really really simple.

Just so you know, I built his box. I gave him the materials for finishing the trunk, showed him how and he nailed it in his usual fashion.

Do it right. If you fail, do it again. Repeat until satisfied. Raise standards: Repeat.

Use cardboard, tinsnips and a sharpie marker to make a template. Then,ya cuts the panel to fit where ya want it to be. Then, ya cuts out the shape of whatever you want to flush mount into it, making sure to leave a gap everywhere for the upholstery material, then spray glue the material and panel, then apply the material to the panel.

Foss is available at virtually any auto upholstery supply house, and 1/4" Masonite at virtually any Home Depot.
