Most new cars are pretty quiet. Has anyone seen or installed a different style that will fit that clicks quieter? Maybe its as easy as wrapping the stock one in foam?

The loud BMW relay is a signature sound in my opinion!!
All three of ours are loud and we love'em! -
doorman is right. the sewing machine valve train, turn signals, and cabin noise are key features of the e30.
maybe if modern cars had louder signals, people wouldn't be driving around with them left on all the time.

I think solid state flashers are quiet. Might try that.Comment

I personally like the stock sound but if it bothers you that much you could just wrap the flasher unit with 1 or more layers of duct tape - same goes for the door chime.Comment

Andrew is correct, replace with solid state...or wrap the damn thing with dynamat or duct tape
