markD chips

I'm looking into picking up a markD chip soon to properly utilize the 19# injectors i recently bought, but i'm curious - are the chips designed to be used with or without an M30 AFM?

the site doesn't mention either way, but i've heard both. Can anyone clear this up? (no haven't emailed Mark yet, didn't want to bother him if anyone else can answer)

After reading some more, it seems people are saying that he offers the 19# chip both ways... but neither are listed on the site; is it just a custom option?
