    Fuel gauge part numbers

I picked up a used fuel gauge to put in my 1990 325i but before I install it I wanted to make sure I've got the correct one (e.g., works with the late model dual sender larger tank).

The tag on the gauge has Motometer with a top line of numbers 609.000.1098 and the bottom line 1 373 678.

Neither set of numbers matches up with Real OEM or parts catalogues at Pelican, ECS, etc: 62-131-381-886

    Any insights?

OK, so it looks like the smaller 55 liter tank uses fuel gauge number 62-131-374-822, or 823, or 824 and when used with the M20's 63 liter tank will read empty when the tank is half full...which is my problem and makes me think that the gauge in my cluster was switched at some point.

The 63 liter tank uses: 62-131-381-886, or 888 (Canada, Europe) according to Real OEM.

So back to my original question of what tank does the motometer gauge with 1 373 678 on the tag go with?
