    Cluster lens replacement

I am replacing a cracked lens on my instrument cluster. When I pulled out the cluster, the lens was already free and not glued or attached. When installing the new lens, should I be using some sort of adheasive?

Yes, you should. You'll be tempted to use super glue(also called CA glue). You can, but it can fog up the "glass" and make a "haze" around where it off gasses while it cures.

You might be tempted to use hot glue, but it's temperature sensitive glue, and your dash can get really hot in the summer. So that's a no-go.

I'd use 5 min epoxy. There are epoxy made just for plastic, but your walmart brand epoxy will do the job. And you don't need much. Glue it in only 5-10 spots with just a dab. Your goal it to secure it, just enough so that it stays on, and doesn't move when you install it. You should also be able to remove it at some point if need be. So less is more.

    Hope that helps.
