    Driver-side high beams stopped working

I am having troubles with the headlights on my ’91 318is. My headlights (dual Lo/Hi beam outer, high beam inner) will work fine on low, but when I switch to high only the right side headlights will illuminate (outer dual beam and inner high beam). The left side (driver’s) will go dark, and I can’t read any voltage on either headlight plug on that setting. All the fuses are good, and since the passenger side works I assume that the relay is good as well. I swapped inner (Hi beam) headlights between driver and passenger side, with no change (driver side still out). Any suggestions?

Turns out it was the connector that plugged into the inner high beam bulb. Voltage comes from relay to fuse to inner high-beam bulb and then continues to outer dual-beam bulb. So a break in the circuit at the inner bulb also blocked the outer high-beam function.
