Has anyone tried any of these iPod adapter harnesses? They are supposed to hook up iPod's to aftermarket and OE headunits through CD changer ports. They say that you can use the changer controls for the headunit to control the iPod on the OE units, but don't say if it's the same for the aftermarket decks. I was planning on getting a new headunit to work with my iPod, but this would be alot cheaper if it works well.

Older style kenwoods you can wire straight in since they dont use any sort of bus. You just need to put a resistor in to make it thinka cd changer is connected.
Also, it dosnt not support the BMW i-bus.
I hate aftermarket decks and I have an e36 deck that I am using to make an i-bus compatible ipod adapter. I have it working with my latop now, I just need to port it to a PIC or something. Would end up only being like $10 in parts.Rollin' with a Geistkuchen
