    what do I have here?

While going through the shed today, I saw a rebuilt programa ecu that I had previously picked up from the junk yard. I noticed it had some engraving on the area around the ecu plug that stated "high power" The tamper proof sticker is still intact. The chip on the inside read" 126735,165 " My other stock ecu has a 1267355213 chip.

Is this a different ecu? I put it in and it feels better, smoother, and more powerful but who knows, I may have had issues with the old ecu I didn't realize. The fact remains, the numbers on the chips are different. What does this mean?

IIRC the 84-85 ecu was different to the 86-88 ECU and the 165 number seems like it comes from a later eta.

oh, I forgot to mention, they are 027 ecu's, but the programa one is a new pn, to replace the 027
