You will also need 4 channels of RCA for your mid/high amp.

depending on what kinda music you like that box might not be your best choice. if you want the bass clean and really tight go with a sealed box. but if you like rap and constant bass type music stay with the ported. and if youre gonna stay with the slot port box you can take your sub amp down a few levels (slot port wont require as much power output from the amp)

Not necessarily. He could get away with two cables and two Y-Connectors. 1 cable from the HU with a Y connector hooking up both channels on the 4 channel. Then using the output on the 4 channel, run a short rca to the sub amp.

So, Chris, let me get this straight...guy buys a deck with 3 sets of pre-outs, and you are recommending he use 1 set, so the deck can't control sub level or fade? So he shares voltage between 3 sets of inputs rather than getting all he is already paying for?

His amp should have the ability to drive all 4 channels on 1 pair of RCA's, plus get the non-faded output to drive the sub...he could get away with what he has by only adding a $3 patch cord from one amp to the other...

'C'mon, the man is spending nearly a G, he can spring for 2 more pair of cables.

Or is it you just wanna argue with the old guy :D

oh, I wasn't even looking at the HU, I was thinking you were telling him that his HU didn't have enough outputs. Sorry, my mistake.

Just last week I saw that deck at BestBuy on clearance for like $160. They had two of them.
