    Brake sensor on the fritz.

MY brake sensor was acting up and was fixed (not by me)

i just stuck new tires on my car, and the sensor, which is loceted on my car on the front left wheel. has 2 wires leading to it and both apear to have lost some of the coating on them at the same point.

Which i think would be the cause for my brake warning lights to sometimes flash on and off or to stay on ect.

the question is , would a bit of insulating tape be ok to put right there next to the wheel, and brake ?

IF you werent really concerned you could just tape the two together permanently until you could replace the wire
It would keep that annoying light off at least

i just finnished moving it around(the wires) it took a while i think the sensor had to "reset" or somthing, ill add tape to it soon, and see if that solves it , at the moment the wire is looped over a screw, and being held apart(from each others bare areas)

i am not that concered as the sensor is overrated, but i would rather have it working, but i dont really want to replace the wires, unless some scrap yard has em el cheapo (and here in south africa, scrap yards dont ahve alot of e30s)
