Cluster help needed

Hi all,

I have a really strange issue going ok with my e30. When the c101 plug is connected, non of the lights work, when I crank he engine only the oil light lights up, and the brake lining light faintly lights up. None of the guages work and he car doesn't start. The car is M50 swapped, and I have checked all fuses.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you do the swap? Sounds like you are missing a ground somewhere. Is the engine ground strap clean and in place? What year is the car?

When was the last time the car ran? Were there any issues before?

Good questions. Block to chassis is the first step, and even a head to chassis is a good thing to start with.

You'd be better posting in the m50 swap sub-forum, and this isn't really electrical, as much as it a bad swap.
