side marker lights, rear lights stay on

    Hello,
Just looking for some guidance here. When ever I have the keys switched to the park position, with the headlight switch, combination switch disconnected, the rear lights, side marker lights, interior lights, and low beam headlights all come on and stay on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Jason

i just had the same problem with my low beams staying on while everything was completely off. i pulled the fuses for a couple days and went without... re-installed new fuses and they work fine now. i have no explanation other than she's 27 years old. more electrical anomalies.... hope that helps.

That's odd. There's no function on a e30 that combines those other to the fuse box.

What condition is your drivers side rocker panel in? Is it super rusty?

All the wiring for the rear lighting on the car goes through the interior on the drivers side footwell. I had an 86 325 that had rusted through there so badly that the wiring harness was damaged. It caused the lights to come on randomly. Had to rebuild the wiring harness through there and the problem went away.
