Reintroducing Stock Stereo (CM5908) on 325i Touring (Japanese Import)

Hi folks, hoping someone can help (I've read countless posts here and elsewhere, and though close, would love some confirmation)!

My 1990 325i (Touring, japanese import, no dash faders) had a harness in the dash for a stereo. I'm 95% confident the colours are as listed below.

    My questions:
    1. does anyone know what my "blue" wire, running a continuous ~7.5v (regardless of whether engine or lights are on/off) is / where it goes?
    2. is it ok to have the two rear +'ves on a single channel off the stereo (ex. both LR and RR +'ves to the LR stereo output ... yes I know I'll only be getting the LR out of both speakers, but the RR is "buzzy" so prefer just skip it)?
    3. is it ok to ground all Browns/-'ves together ... logically that should work, but ... ?

I'll be adding a donor stock stereo (CM5908), and pretty sure I've figured that out too ... one question here:
    1. Can anyone double check what I've got in the stereo image?

    INFO:
    Wires in Harness:
    Blue/Red: +'ve RF
    Blue/Brown: -'ve RF
    Blue/Purple: +'ve RR
Blue/White (or faded yellow): -'ve RR
    Yellow/Red: +'ve LF
    Yellow/Brown: -'ve LF
    Yellow/Blue: +'ve RF
    Yellow/White: -'ve RF

    Red/Green: live (always on)
    Brown: -'ve (ground)
    White: antenna
    Purple/Grey: 12 v switched
    Red/Grey: illuminator
    Blue: ????????? (holds 7.5 v whether on/off, lights on/off, etc)

    Appreciate any help ...

Thanks George - was able to find some info, but unfortunately colours noted don't align with what I found (whether online in other posts, or in the car)!

Anyone else ? Thanks in advance !:)

That looks like the late model euro harness. It uses an e36 style plug.

Does your harness plug have a sliding piece on it?

        Edit:

The stock deck you have there is a common ground deck. Your harness looks to be a separate ground setup. I would grab an e36 deck and try it.

I have an late euro e30 deck with an e36 style input you can test.

Pm me if you want to look

Todd. Thanks and will do. Maybe just seeing some pics of the rear of the unit you have would help point me in the right direction!

Regardless, sent you a pm. Thanks
