    Fader block out plate part #

    Hi,
    New to the forum and in the final stages of resurrecting my wife's 86 BMW 325ES.

    Read thru all the Stereo threads and find mention and pics of the block out plate for the FADER but no mention of the BMW part# ?

    Does anyone have the Block Out Plate part #?

          There are a few different versions, and they were also used in the e28, e24, the e32. 50% of them, the guy who removed them used a screwdriver and nicks the plastic. You have to get behind them and push them out.

          The best ones are the ones with 4 tabs. Two large tabs, and two small tabs.

          New I believe they are about $12 +shipping. Used should be only a buck plus shipping.

          If the tabs aren't perfect, hit it with a blow dryer, and careful bend the tabs out. VERY CAREFULLY!
