Stereo Questions

Hello I apologize for the noob question but I need help identifying the cabling in my E30 and the type of AMP that came with it.

Really, I want to know if these pictures tell you the type of stereo system that was installed in my car - there was some work done before I bought it because I believe there are aftermarket cables installed.

Right now I don't have a picture of the front of the headunit.

The back of the radio looks like an OEM Alpine “slider” CM5908. It’s a standard radio in later e30s.

The black Blaupunkt amp in your trunk is also OEM and came with premium sound packages.

I’m not sure why your wires are cut or what the RCA cable is, but if I had to guess, I would say that the prior owner had a subwoofer in the trunk.

Wow, thank you! That’s exactly what I was looking for. I purchased a wiring harness and I can use those diagrams to connect it the way it should be.
