lost thread? post your trunk setup pics

i know there was a thread with a name very similar to this, and since im in the middle of installing my subs/amp i wanted to take a look at it...where do these "lost" threads go? i searched and found nothing.

anyway, maybe somebody could answer this for me: i dont really want to mount my amp right onto my box, since its a nice (sealed) JL prowedge, but its so easy to do and it makes adjusting the amp settings so much easier than if the amp were mounted to the back of the rear seat (steel wall). will drilling a sealed box affect sound quality badly? if so, how can you securely mount a sealed box?

thanks, and lets get those pictures up if we have to!

I mounted my 4x100 amp and 2x200 amp on the rear seat wall. It's not hard for me to adjust (and you shouldn't be adjusting much anyway). I just use a fuse with one of the terminals cut off to do the adjusting.

Before I cleaned up the wiring..

Whoa how does this work out for you? What are the specs on this setup? Any Cutting involved? How deep is that box?

Daniel, the box is fiberglassed to contour the shape of the given spave and it is 0.3ft^3 after driver displacement. Eu700 with 250wrms going to it. 0 cuts or modifications. I will be upgrading to Image Dynamics ID8" just because I got it for dirt cheap. Otherwise, it gives me enough low thump to fill in lower end that my 6.5" aren't able to reproduce.

So I am assuming that go can put the seat back in and sit on it w/o any damage?

                            Dominick Iraggi over at sounddomain.com

E30 style alts only go up to 180 or 200 amps I think, I had to get an e36 alt (apparently they may be interchangable? I dunno, its been awhile).
The e36 alt costs more, but they said it has different internals and lasts longer. Plus I wanted the extra power.
