Overhead panel brake lite won’t go out ??

The car I’m working on is 88’ M3 , I’ve got all (3) brake lite bulbs good with the correct wattage but the overhead panel lite stays lite . I’ve got (2) other e30s so I know how the system checks itself . Now I need to reach out to a higher source . M3 , 18w for the third lite & normal 21w on the (2) main. Thanks
