    eclipse deck

    i just got an eclipse deck, and.... it doesnt work... it is a cd3422..... and i hooked it up but it doesnt work.... i pressed eject, and the cd came out, but the damn thing wouldnt power up.... anybody have any suggestions?

    are you SURE it's hooked up correctly? Where did you get it?

      i got it off the interent.... it is hooked up correctly, i am not an idiot...

      beside that, the cd came out, i had 12v going to the deck, i had accy going to the deck, i had ground, and i had the antena hooked up.... i think it might be some security thing, but normally it displays the serial number, and call 1800 as well

        Eclipse head units have to have the code entered into them before it turns on for the first time. If you bought it used, the head unit probably thinks it's and needs the code to reactivate it. You may even have to send it back to Eclipse so they can reset it. They make damn good head units but the security features in them can be a bitch.
