Head Unit Installation (adapter harness)

Has anyone use an adapter harness to connect the aftermarket HU to your E30 ?

I've tried AAMP BHA8590 adapter harness and it didn't work


I dont know if the BHO9003 will work

youre still going to get 2 channels out of it. if you dont re wire. E30s have 2 channels (stock)

neither of those harnesses look correct.. maybe they're for newer bimmers

My recommendation is to cut the wires and use bullet-connectors. that way you can remove it later if you want to.

It's a huge pain in the ass to try to rewire an E30, just pull the harness and make your own. It's real easy and pays off
