    Baller Anti-Teft System?

I had a pretty cool idea, partially inspired by the Transporter. Take this:

    http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/sto...oductId=127554

And hook it up so you would have to enter the correct code to enable the ignition system. Then you could install a starter button to start the car, eliminating the need for keys completely.

The same place has a few other more attractive keypads also that I'm sure you could substitute the one that comes with the kit for.

Josh, feel like letting me do this to your car? :)

I watched transporter 2 the other day and I was thinking the same thing. Maybe someone with more money could actually make it come up out of the dash..haha

If you have the fancy-boy OBC doesn't it have this built into it?

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Ya it does. The code button does it. If someone disconnects the battery it will erase the code saved. Having a keypad like that could be really cool.

lolz, the other bad part about code is you have to enter the code everytime it doesnt do it automatically, so if you forgot to set the code your car could start at the touch of a button, by anyone
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I know, I got the pic off of ebay of an A8. I am not that stupid. Owned an Audi and own an e30 now, I know the difference I promise. It was just for shits and giggles.

The idea would be that you have to enter the code to be able to start the car, not to disable it.

Sure, you pay for it, I'll be the gineau pig. :D

Get a cooler looking number plate than that, though.
