Help! rewiring corroded stereo wires

I'm finally at the point where I need to install my stereo, but I ran into some difficulties. I got the amp all wired up correctly and ran the rem wire to the deck, but it doesn't get any power. I can't get my deck to power up either. I connected the red/green to battery wire, purple/grey to acc. Than I have the ground and rem wire set up also. It's not powering up and I'm guessing it's because the car's acc & or battery wire is corroded. I have had a shit load of electrical problems with the car, so it wouldn't surprise me. I was just wondering
where would I ran a new battery and acc wire if I were to replace the car's. I can't find my bentley manual so I can't get any wiring diagrams. I need some advice if you think i'm running something wrong or if you can link me to a write up or tell me how to rewire them.

you can tap into the power window switch cutoff switch (the black button above the radio) for the 12 volt acc turn on, just make sure to test which side is hot when the switch is in the closed AND open position
