    Ideal Sound Deadener Location (s)

I would like to install some sound deadening material in the trunk of my e30. Are there some spots where it will do the most good or should I just do the whole trunk? I’m no audiophile, but I would like to quiet noise coming into the cabin from the trunk.
    Thanks in advance, Chuck

I'm pretty sure that, when you put sound-proofing in a trunk, you have to set it up like you would a sub box. You want to cover every surface to create a tight "box". (Huh huh huh, Beavis, you said "box.") That way you have a nice sound space to work with.

My friend in his Lexus put it on the underside of the decklid and on the inner side of the fenders, and one 1' X 1' patch on the trunk floor and it sounds great.

Lexus' are designed from the factory to have extremely low road noise. Comparing that to e3os is ridiculous. Lexus actually emphasizes the quite too much now, and ignores other things. It is hurting their sales too.

Cover it completely dep on what you are putting in. Take out the old factory crap too before you put in the new.
